Bose turned off the SoundTouch servers in May 2026. The speakers still play Bluetooth and AUX, but presets, the app, internet radio and grouping all went with it.
I run a replacement server your speakers can use instead. To switch them over, run this program once on a computer that’s on the same Wi-Fi as the speakers. It finds them, points them at my server and restarts them. Nothing gets opened up or flashed. It uses a settings port the speakers already have.
The server is offline for a day or two while I move it to its own machine. Hold off until this line is gone.
Nobody has tried this on a real speaker yet. If you do, vote below either way.

Running it
On Windows, double-click it. Windows will probably warn that it’s from an unknown publisher. Click More info, then Run anyway.
On a Mac, open Terminal, type chmod +x (with the space), drag the file into the window and press Enter. Then drag the file in again and press Enter to run it. If macOS blocks it, go to System Settings, then Privacy & Security, and click Open Anyway.
On Linux, chmod +x it and run it.
It shows you the speakers it found and asks before changing anything. Run it with status to see where your speakers point, or with undo to put them back the way Bose had them.
If you’d rather run your own server, SoundCork and Bose-SoundTouch do the same job. Mine is built on the second one.
Grouping and stereo pairing don’t work yet.
